NATC Convention Showcases Largest Class of Clubs

    By Brian McGuinn | Campground Management Articles | 0 comment | 31 March, 2017 | 0

    Southeast Marketing Consultants

March 15th, Lake Guntersville State Park, Alabama – Southeast Publications celebrated its largest class of club level marketing consultants in company history.

Every year Southeast Publications chooses a place to hold their National Awards and Training Convention. In March of 2017, 45 of Southeast Publication’s 90 teams descended on Lake Guntersville State Park. The park itself boasts a large terrace that overlooks Lake Guntersville and herds of deer can be seen daily moving through the park.

“This is a beautiful place to honor our teams,” states Brian McGuinn, Director of SEPI Marketing. “We have the largest class of top performer awards I have ever seen.” Per McGuinn, the awards represent sales of Guest Guide advertising. This year, Southeast Publications had three marketing consultant teams reach sales of over $300,000, one of which was slightly under $400,000.

Carlene Morris, Vice President of SEPI Marketing indicated that three additional teams reached over a $250k in sales, two teams reached over $200k, eight teams reached over one $150k and ten teams over $100k in sales.

“2016, was by far one of our best years,” states Brian McGuinn. “Our guest guide sales increased. We were able to service over 125 more campgrounds more than the year before, and that doesn’t even include the digital advertising and web development sales we were able to increase.” McGuinn also states that the company is already projected to work 150 more RV resorts this year, and that is only what has been assigned this year to date.

The company indicates that their growth has been primarily a result of having a world class team of marketing consultants and a training program that uses all the benefits of technology. Southeast Publications believes that their digital reach into the consumer market through their MobileRVing.com community provides added marketing for both their RV resort partners and the businesses that sponsor their publication.

The National Awards and Training Convention’s keynote speaker was Greg Lein, the Director of Alabama State Parks. The highlight of the event was the auction for KOA Care Camps hosted by San Diego KOA’s Clint Bell. At the event, Southeast Publications associates raised tens of thousands of dollars to help Children with Cancer enjoy the peace and comradery that camping readily provides
