MobileRVing the Buzz will be sending their Editor in Chief Tim Wassberg to Dusseldorf Germany to cover the Caravan Salon event, one of Europe’s largest RVing events.
MobileRVing indicates that their strategy is to reach outside American borders to foster relationships with international camping clubs and to garner the attention of their Preferred Properties. In April 2017, MobileRVing visited Beijing China to establish a relationship with the 21 RV Group and RV Family, the largest RV club in China. Editor Tim Wassberg states, “One of the best things about our new relationship over in China is the eyeballs we are now receiving on our Preferred Property partners. The Chinese RV tourism industry in America is enormous. Most visitors start on either the east or west coast of the United States and then end up on the other side by the time they are ready to leave.” Sources inside MobileRVing indicate that there are plans for further visits to China in 2018.
During this trip Tim plans on meeting with some of the major European camping clubs and RV manufacturers to learn more about camping in Europe. Tim says, “There are some really interesting ways we can help promote European camping and then conversely, they can promote our Preferred Properties to their caravan clubs when they decide to travel to the United States.”
Director of Business Development for SEPI Marketing, Brian McGuinn states, “Our domestic and international web traffic has increased dramatically over this past year. Looking at our website tracking on Google Analytics, we are seeing that most of the domestic and international guests are performing actions within the website. Many of which are converting into phone clicks, email clicks, website clicks and even reservation bookings. We feel it’s important that we are equally as aggressive acquiring eyeballs internationally as we are domestically,” states McGuinn.
When asked if there were other markets they were planning on visiting in 2018, McGuinn states that there were. “We are planning on adding Australia and New Zealand into our travel schedules this year. We hope to establish good connections and further increase our international network.
According to sources inside the company, audience acquisition and networking are only a few of the reasons why they are increasing their reach outside the American borders. “We can bring some of the best practices outside the country inside through our comprehensive digital publication and depth of knowledge in the industry,” states Wassberg. “Not to mention, it might be very cool to go camping in Germany, Ireland or Italy too. Hopefully I communicate that opportunity and enthusiasm to our RV travel community too.”
SEPI Marketing, the creators of MobileRVing.com and parent company of Southeast Publications, plan on boosting the website’s traffic even further in 2018 through the installation of new technologies and a more simplified user interface. In another announcement, SEPI Marketing has already implemented robust reporting for their preferred properties to see how their marketing message is performing on MobileRVing.com.
